The maps depict the concentration of crime in the Washington D.C area as well as the locations of policde stations which are emmerced in crime. Even though the crimes vary in nature from sex abuse to homicide the overwhelming concentration of crime occur in central D.C. Unfortunately the maps do not provide the disposition of law enforcement officers located throughout Washington D.C. consequently we can asses that additionial manning is needed to reduce the level of crime taking place in Washington D.C.
